Liberal Ad #2 Released today – Liberal Leadership

Well, straight on the heels of the prior post talking about the newest Liberal ad, I noticed the Liberals had released a 2nd ad today and so here it is:

You might remember this ad from somewhere else. This was released a couple of years ago after the initial Conservative attack ads on Dion after he won the leadership. The Liberals have decided to re-release this to emphasize what they feel is “real leadership” – which in this case is real results on the world stage to do with the environment. It’s not a bad idea to remind people of this either.

  • I wish the sentiment of this ad really landed, but i had to listen several times to see what Mr. Dion was demanding? And I am still not sure from the ad. I am not sure how effective it will be.

If anything “speaks volumes,” Frankly, it’s that the Libs have nothing hopeful, not a glimmer, beyond this overused clip captured before your guy became the leader who went on to rubber-stamp Harper’s entire legislative agenda. That said, I do appreciate the ad-hit on Harper/Ritz – anything exposing those goons is timely and helpful.

LOL what results? Was it an example of environmental “leadership” when Dion totally abandoned his preious Kyoto Protocol in a confidence vote because he knew his party was not ready for an election? Yeah, that is real leaderhship results, I’ll tell you what.

Ignatieff: “We didn’t get it done .. WE DIDN’T GET IT DONE..!!!”

What Ignatieff was referring to was the failure of the Chretien-Martin-Dion regimes to hold down skyrocketing Canadian GHG emissions that peaked at 32% above our Kyoto targets in 2004.

Interesting to note that now Dion himself admits on page 16 of his Green Shift:

“Canadians know Canada won’t meet its obligations under the first phase of the Kyoto Protocol.”

In effect, Dion admits that Canada is failing the planet and the Green Shift cannot remedy the failure. Wonder what Dion’s solution is to mitigate Canada’s Kyoto failure.

I agree, I hope the Liberals use this advertising on prime time television, it speaks volumes to who Stephane Dion really is and how Canada used to be repected on the world stage.

It is slightly different – this one is a bit better showing the exchange in the middle and more detail on what happened.

    The ending is the same.

    I like it.

I like the other one too, though it is clearly negative. I like the question at the end.

I hope the Liberals use this ad. It will remind Canadians who Liberal leader is.
