If the latest 2 polls released today from Decima and Nanos are an accurate indicator of a Liberal turnaround in the polls and not just statistical noise, then all we engaged in the last blogpost of mine was some fun hypothetical situations.
Harper showed his “not likable streak” last week that he’s more or less masked this election, and that may have helped to trim the poll gap, as progressive moderate voters got reminded just what a nasty angry mean Conservative Party this is, led by a nasty angry mean leader. That positive momentum for the Liberals needs to be kept up. Keep the gap to single digits until we get to the leaders debate, and let’s see what happens at that and afterward.

Why not go to the source for the numbers?
Rather than quoting a CPoC sock puppet (aka Steve V), here is Nanos straight up:
CPAC-Nanos Tracking CP 36, LP 27, NDP 19, GP 9, BQ 9 (ending September 27)
At least you are finally admitting the the Grits can’t win.
Are you now going to take some responsibility for being among the Liberals emboldening the party to push the Conservatives in a war of brinkmanship. They called your bluff and that will hurt the Liberal party for years to come. It will hurt Canada because the only party that can afford to act like the official opposition is the NDP (God help us. You overestimated your party and you completely misread the electorate.
Pesonally having become a centrist I naturally prefer political parties of the centre, but I don’t generally like to take sides between the NDP and Liberals; However I do object to both NDP and Liberals slashing at each other when Harper is the opponent.
Even though I’m of the center, I think a “stand-down” cooperative ballot is needed this time for both the NDP and Liberals sakes.
All you two have to do is mutally stand down 20 candiadate each in strategic ridings and Harper is no more… that is all you have to do.
Cheers,
Coffee
Paul:
The polls are still not good – but I’ve conceded no such thing.
“He’s a member of both the Liberal bloggers (Liblogs) and of Progressive Bloggers. ”
And that proves what?
He attacks libs and NDPers all the time… he is a CPoC sock puppet plan and simple.
Uh, no he isn’t Walks.. you are totally out to lunch on that accusation.
I’ve met the guy in person a few times. I know him. Furthermore, since you hadn’t apparently noticed, his blog persona got revealed a month and a half ago. He’s a relative of the Liberal candidate running in Guelph.
Liberals are ALLOWED to criticize the NDP (I do it sometimes too – so does that make me a CPC sockpuppet?)
Furthermore, Liberals are EVEN allowed to be critical of other Liberals.
So, Walks, I suggest you retract the accusation and make an apology on here to Steve.
No apology, you are supporting a CPoC sock puppet.
@Walkswithcoffee –
Eugene.. you can have some eloquent posts and replies.. but this series of replies isn’t included. You’re totally wrong on this. Steve is no more a CPC sock-puppet then Harper is a Liberal.
I repeat: apologize to him.
Scott, you have been wrong before and are wrong now.
Cuckoo.
