Will there be some bargain electronics deals soon at The Source?

I ask that because The Source chain of electronic stores in Canada is owned by Circuit City in the US, and if these reports are true, we may have heard the last of Circuit City; its liquidation is apparently imminent.  So, if you’re thinking of buying a new laptop or LCD monitor or Plasma HD TV, wait and see what happens with their Canadian subsidiary. You may be able to get stuff for a bargain.

UPDATE @ 1:35 pmIt’s official:

Circuit City Stores Inc., the nation’s second-biggest consumer electronics retailer, said Friday it had run out of options and will be forced to liquidate its 567 U.S. stores. The closures could send another 30,000 people into the ranks of the unemployed..It was unclear what would happen to the company’s 765 retail stores and dealer outlets in Canada.

As I said, keep an eye out for bargains at The Source.

UPDATE 2 @ 4:23 pm: Well now, it appears The Source may not be in as bad of shape as its parent company. They will stay open for business for now, while the Canadian subsidiary that owns it looks for interested buyers.
