Please don’t twitter “your blog sucks” to her.

SO, I guess I’ve discovered 1 good thing about Twitter (which I remain largely agnostic about, to say the least); for those people who read Impolitical’s excellent blog, but are frustrated by the lack of a comments section over there to send her feedback on what she blogs about, you can join her Twitter feed to do that (provided you can do it in 140 characters or less).

That doesn’t mean, however, that I’m going to rush out and get a Twitter account. The temptation of sending her smart-alec comments is overridden by my continued lack of interest in using Twitter 🙂

  • @rural – Ah, you’re referring to the Environmental Time Clock. Yes.. that is a flash file.

All I can say is – rural areas now can get high speed access ( I know, I’m currently in a rural area) either through wireless or through satellite internet (there’s a certain company whose name starts with an X and ends with a net that deals in both.. but other internet providers are also offering a choice of both), and quite frankly, while I sympathize with those still not with high speed.. the dial-up modem set of users is rapidly dwindling.. and many sites are not going to base what they put on their site on that dwindling group of users.

  • Scott, sorry but you do have a flash player box pop up for those of us that do not have it and whos rural connection does not allow for it! As does progressive bloggers and many more, for those with high speed and all the bells and whistles its hard to realise what we folks connecting at 28k on a good day have to go thrugh. Not aiming at you in particular but “heavy” sites in general.

  • kwittet

not necessarily. sometimes i agree that harper is a dik!!

  • @kwittet – I don’t know. I’ve been out all evening and haven’t had the chance to examine it.

Why do you ask? You’re just going to disagree with anything I say anyhow, Kevin 😉

Scott..are you going to have a blog on the provincial budget?

  • No use trying to talk Scott into more social networking accounts. I tried yesterday to get him to join Reddit and StumbleUpon, but he won’t budge.

And I too had a hard time resisting leaving tweets for Impolitical. Years of pent up no-comments-after-reading-blog-entries threatened to burst forth.

  • @rural – I don’t have a flash player box pop up either, if that’s aimed at me.

  • What? You aren’t going to get a twitter account? 😉

It’s very useful for providing some content when there isn’t anything interesting happening to blog about.

  • Twitter has begun to consume my life — but in a good way, of course.

  • At least he/she? dosent have that bloody flash player box pop up every time you visit! 😉

  • i don’t know whether to be flattered or ticked off at you, tribester…:)

  • […] Almost all bloggers are gettin’ Twitter accounts. Yet another “essential” service available to us to network (AKA: sucking more people into following our ordinary lives). […]
