Quite a bit of posturing going on over EI

You’d think the way Pierre Poilievre and Diane Finley were fulminating to the media would indicate the Liberals have gone into the EI blue-ribbon panel with inflexible demands or something on the 360 hour qualification to obtain EI. As Aaron Wherry shows over at Macleans, that’s not the case.

An objective person who saw this might conclude the Conservatives are:

a) negotiating in bad faith
b) posturing publicly for partisan reasons
c) trying to set the stage so they can blame the Liberals if the EI panel fails to come to an agreement and the government falls.
d) some of the above
e) all of the above.

I’m one of those that really hope the voters of Haldimand-Norfolk see how useless Diane Finley has been, and return former Liberal cabinet minister Bob Speller to Parliament come the next election.

I see your man Iggy has stayed with he liberals tradition of throwing democracy in the garbage can and appointing a candidate for Halton.
I guess he figured becoming the leader of the liberal party through a back room deal was good so appointing candidates through back room deals would be a good idea as well.

Christ! When will liberals learn that the fulminating is all about the fulminating and only about the fulminating! Whose picture do you see in the press? Who’s giving the interviews? Who’s making, ‘the statements’? Now, ask who you don’t see, or hear, or read about (except in the ‘last paragraph’, that no one reads).

“Say what you will about me, just mention my name every day and please spell it right”.

(it’s called a-d-v-e-r-t-i-s-i-n-g and it works!)
